Depth

TGA and JPEG are 8-bit; JPEG has no alpha and is flattened over white. EXR is 16-bit float, linear light, premultiplied alpha — the only lossless path out. Drop or place .tga files like any image.

Credits

The shape renderer uses signed-distance functions in the form published by Inigo Quilez, including the gradient-corrected ellipse approximation.

Layout, controls and the rest of the chrome are shared with Noisy and Palettize. No third-party code runs in the page.

Cmd/Ctrl + E: Export in the chosen format
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C: Copy the export to the clipboard as PNG
Cmd/Ctrl + Z: Undo

V: Select and move
Cmd/Ctrl + O: Place an image
Cmd/Ctrl + V: Paste an image
Backspace: Delete the selection
Shift-click: Add to or remove from the selection (canvas or rail)
Drag on empty canvas: Marquee-select; Shift adds to the selection
Cmd/Ctrl + A: Select every image, shape and text layer
Handles on a multi-selection: Scale the set about the opposite corner (Alt: centre); the knob rotates the set
Esc: Clear the selection
Cmd/Ctrl + D: Duplicate the selection
Alt-drag: Move a copy, leave the original
Arrows: Nudge the selection 1px; Shift for 10px
Double-click name: Rename a layer in the rail
Cmd/Ctrl + G: Group the selection
Cmd/Ctrl + Alt + M: Mask: group the selection, lowest layer becomes the mask
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + G: Ungroup
drag in rail: Reorder; drop on a group to put a layer inside
Shift-drag: Constrain move to an axis
S: Toggle snapping to edges and layers
G: Show or hide the grid
Shift + G: Toggle snapping to the grid
T: Text tool — click to place
Shift + T: Toggle the 3×3 tiling preview
Double-click text: Edit it in the rail
Cmd/Ctrl-drag: Invert snapping for this drag
Eyedropper: In the colour picker; click the canvas to sample, Esc to cancel
Alt-click swatch: Remove it from the document palette
Alt-drag corner: Scale about the centre
Shift-rotate: Snap to 15°
C: Crop tool — drag edges, corners or the frame body
Corner drag: Keeps the document's aspect ratio
Shift: Keep the frame's current ratio instead
Alt: Free corner
Enter: Crop the document to the frame
Esc: Leave the crop tool
3 – 7: Rectangle, rounded rect, ellipse, line, polygon
drag: Draw a shape; a tap places a default size
Shift: Square, circle, or 45° line while drawing
Alt: Draw from the centre
